For the past three years, Avaada Foundation has been transforming summer vacations into a season of learning, creativity, and growth through its month-long Summer Camps for Rural Students. Organized across villages including Bhuj, Maaya, Adhoi, Halra, Bachau, Surendra nagar, Adhoi (Gujarat), Tarsi, Dudha, Dhawalpeth, Chinchala, Kolgaon, Bhokar, Ghansawangi, Koliwada (Maharashtra), Sonbhadra (Uttar Pradesh), Khodela, Basuharui, Adgud, Chichalik, Mathura these camps reflect Avaada Foundation’s unwavering commitment to the holistic development of children and communities.
We have also been conducting camps in Prime minister adopted villages Jayapur and Nagepur in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Nokhra and Bharukheera (Rajasthan), and Dudhpura, Kasai Deharia, Ladwan in Agar Malwa (Madhya Pradesh), impacting nearly 10,000 participants from over 60 villages. Children, youth, and community members aged 8 to 80 enthusiastically participated in a wide range of educational, cultural, and recreational activities.
From academic learning sessions, storytelling, science tours, sports tournaments, team-building exercises, and Vedic learning to drawing, sketching, sand art, paper crafts, keychain making, mehendi, hand embroidery, fireless cooking, and glass painting, every activity was designed to nurture creativity, confidence, and life skills. These experiences provide rural students with exposure and opportunities often available only in large urban schools, helping them become future-ready learners equipped for a rapidly changing world.
A special highlight was the Bal Pratibha Samman, which celebrated academic excellence and recognized young achievers with Ranger bicycles and educational support materials. The smiles on their faces reflected dreams taking flight and possibilities expanding beyond village boundaries.
Through these camps, Avaada Foundation is not only promoting education, skill development, sports, creativity, and community engagement, but also creating lasting memories, building self-belief, and empowering rural children—especially girls—to discover their potential and confidently shape their future. Every camp becomes a stepping stone toward a brighter, more inclusive, and empowered India.
